J.D. Probasco was a 2003 graduate of Buena High School and a 2008 graduate of California State Channel Islands. JD was Hall of Fame inductee and a Varsity football and basketball playing for Buena. He went on to play football for the Ventura College Pirates and the Western New Mexico Mustangs. When JD returned home to Ventura County he attended Cal State Channel Islands, worked for the City of Ventura with organized sports and returned to his alma mater, Buena, to coach the Bulldogs Varsity football team’s offensive line. The scholarship goes to select student athletes who show the dedication and commitment to academics and the team that JD exhibited.
